Well versed ...

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.  Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates. Duet. 6:5-9

Last weekend we went and did something we have been anticipating for a long time.  We “versed” our new house.  We asked the children to each pick a verse that was meaningful to them to write on the door frames of their room. We all got in on the action:

Caroline:

Brittany:

Savannah:

And Jacob:

Bill and I wrote them as well:

Verses were written on doors:

And floors:

Even in bathrooms:

Jacob added his hand print too.  :)

We even added verses for the carpenter’s on their chair and bench (in English and Spanish!).

“Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain”.  Psalm 127:1
