Time for two a days at the pool.
Which is exactly what we did today. First an afternoon swim and then a post dinner quick dip.
You see, I’m really trying to wear these people out.
And I want it to be known that I am VERY grateful to live one house away from the pool.
Read … I never, ever have to load up the car with the people and pool paraphernalia.
And as nice as a backyard pool would be, this ain’t bad either.
We walk out our front door and cross the street.
Go through this gate.
And see this.
That’s what I’m talking about!
And the kids jump in faster than I can snap a camera and before long they are doing this:
And, this is the really exciting part!!!
On this, my 14th summer of taking people to the pool, I can actually lay on the side of the pool and read a book (thank you, thank you, thank you wonderful swim team coaches!!!). And when I look out at the pool, it looks like this:
People…it is nice.
Very, very nice.
And then we walk home and eat and wait a few hours and walk back and do it all over again.
