Blog is going black ...

Or at least gray.

For over a year I’ve been writing on this blog.  Loved every second of it.  I’ve met some really nice people through blogging and gotten to know some friends/family a whole lot better.  I’ve had a place to record my thoughts and my life.  It was a journal of sorts - except I never had to look for a pen.

Now I’m looking for a bit of a blog-y break.  Many reasons, not the least of which is that I really don’t have anything to say right now.

I want any of you that read this who have ever told me you liked, enjoyed or even read the blog that it meant more to me than you can ever imagine.  Thank you.

Check back … I’ll post every now and then I imagine, but not daily, maybe not even monthly.  I just don’t know.  Never, ever, for even one second was the blog something I felt I had to do, it was truly something I enjoyed - a “get to” if you will.  And to be honest … discipline is not one of my strong suits and the fact that I wrote consistently for over a year thrilled me.  Made me feel I wasn’t a total slacker.

Now I’m off to go live some life … and maybe write about it later.

Yaaay Darla! Please know, I’ve been there and am still there! If I get a post written once a month, it’s like a miracle :)

Blogs are really great for capturing family events and quotes that you don’t want to forget…like an online baby book if you will. If God’s leading you to slow it down a little, then all glory to Him because that just means there’s something awesome in store for you during the break!!! I can’t wait to hear about it (later) :) :) :)

Well I don’t like this one bit! But I’ll deal. :) I know you’re making the right decision. You’re smart like that!

Blessings to you!

Well I certainly hate to hear it as I look forward to reading your stuff, but I understand.

I’ll keep checking, though….

I have so loved reading your blog, getting indirectly reconnected with an old friend after so many years. With all the intensity (and sleeplessness!) a new baby brings into one’s life, your blog was one of those light, uplifting moments in my day. Reminded me of some of our own funny moments - nonstop roller coaster rides at Magic Springs and my fake birthday cake, to name a few. You put a smile on my face, old friend. So when the mood strikes you, please feel free to jot down your “Darla” moments. In the meantime, enjoy life and know there’s a ton of us out here cheering you on!

Love,
m
